You are here: Home / Ceramic / MgAl2O4 Transparent Ceramic

Magnesium aluminate spinel (MgAl2O4) exhibits high transparency in a broad wavelength range as well as good mechanical and electrical properties and chemical and corrosion resistance. These properties give the spinel a wide range of applications including use in the windows of spacecraft and chemical reactors, in sensors, as construction materials for fuel cells. In addition, because MgAl2O4 transparent ceramic has a high melting point and hardness, it also has important application prospects in the field of missile fairings and high temperature windows.
